Created in 1969, PAID-WA is part of the expanding network of Pan African Institute for Development International (I’PAID), a highly respected African institution providing capacity development and innovative research outcomes to accelerate the growth and development of the region. Our continental network, I’PAID, will be celebrating its 50th ANNIVERSARY this year 2014. Please look out for our activities on this site.

Created in 1969 as an arm of international PAID (an international non-governmental organization (NGO) which was created in 1964, its mission is to promote sustainable development through training, research and advisory services at regional, country, organizational and community levels working in close collaboration with Government, NGOs, Civil Society Organizations(CSOs), Institutions as well as International communities.
There's been an increasing drive by development institutions and agencies in West Africa and Africa in general, to upscale the impact they create and the results they achieve in the field of development. In reality, these development agencies are highly complex and organic in nature.
