Report on the participation of the PAID at the 2th edition of the International Exhibition Book of Yaounde

This year, the Ministry of Arts and Culture (MINAC) organized under the patronage of the President of the Republic, the International Exhibition Book of Yaoundé (Silya). The solemn opening of the 2nd edition of this exhibition was made by the Prime Minister Head of the Government, Personal Representative of the Head of State before an audience of political, administrative and diplomatic membres. This 2nd edition which took place from 2 to 6 June 2016 at the Esplanade of the National Museum of Yaounde was strongly marked by the presence of the Pan African Institute for Development (PAID) and specifically "PAID Presses" who despite his new coming in the world of publishing has not failed to attract the attention of many visitors. Indeed, the PAID Press has managed to attract the admiration of almost all visitors during the exhibition, despite the presence of other giants in the publishing field, of writing, of printing and design, such as: Afrédit the Cedertola the Farmer's Voice, Irondelle, Harmattan, the Afric'Avenir Editions, Sopecam, Schabel, Ifrikiya, Ebony, Mengue, Camteph, Competence, Culture South Luppepo Veritas ...

Despite the notoriety of some of the above editors, PAID presses have distinguished themselves by the originality of their editorial line. The 2nd edition of this exhibition, which was held under the theme: "The Book, growth vector" was punctuated by conferences, reading workshops and dedication ceremonies of several national and international authors.

The Pan African Institute for Development (PAID) has taken the opportunity of this exhibition to introduce the public to his publishing house "PAID Presses" recently created, and the first scientific works published by its. These are books entitled "Pan-Africanism, research, peace and concerted development in Africa" ??Prof. Emmanuel Kamdem, current Secretary General of PAID and "Africa can finally starting well: Geomatics and Geo-strategy for controlled growth" Prof. Michel Tchotsoua, current Vice-President of the University of Ngaoundere. These publications of PAID Presses as the work of Dr. Fernand Vincent, PAID founder father entitled "New NGO and Associations management manual" have attracted many visitors. Multiple authors and writers have also been seduced by the PAID Presses and promised to approach very soon the house with their typescript to see how it could be edited.

PAID also took this opportunity to present its particular training offers in the LMD cycle, so many fans to this important appointment of reading. The visit of the SG and the Director of the PAID PhD School at this exhibition does not go unnoticed. Because it helped perk up morale on the ground. The Director of the PAID PhD School also host a public conference on Sunday, 5 June, 2016, one day before the closing of the 2nd edition of this show.

Overall, this 2nd edition of Silya was very rewarding. Because, every day, from 9:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m., the exhibition space of PAID housed in the esplanade of the National Museum of Yaounde was full of visitors. It is estimated at 500, the number of visitors during the five days of the exhibition.

Overall, the show was very rewarding to share the significant number of writers and authors who have been very interested in publishing their typescript by PAID Presses and also by comments and concerns of each other, which will allow to better respond to their request by providing reliable information in real time, respondents services to their needs and a charter of publishing in the PAID Presses .
